Bride Maggie Wakefield told The Huffington Post that she considers her grandma Joyce to be her second mother. “I have so many fond memories of my sister and I sleeping over at my grandmother’s house as children making homemade sugar cookies,” she said. “My grandparents have been a huge support in my life and I learned to really value their opinions and stories.” The bride also said that her husband has a close relationship with his grandma Drue, and the special roles they played in their ceremony meant the world to them.
