Our new member Muscari, in Milwaukee, WI, was featured in The Bride and Bloom Spring 2009 edition. For this wedding, the couple chose a color combination of coral pink and light beige. Muscari’s bridal bouquet incorporates these colors as well as accents of white and brown. The flowers used are hydrangea, stephanotis, roses, spray roses, chocolate cosmos and monkey’s tail, collared with seeded eucalyptus. To compliment, the boutonniere is designed with spray roses, hanging amaranthus and monkey’s tail.
For the main table, a tall crackle finish vase acts as the support for an arrangement crafted from white hydrangea, monkey’s tail, willow and hanging amaranthus cascading down the sides. Three small arrangements of spray roses balance the base with the top. Placed on the smaller tables are arrangements in glass rectangle vases embellished with a French satin wrap and filled with hydrangea, willow, hanging amaranthus, monkey’s tail and roses. As a delicate touch, neatly folded napkins are placed on each plate with roses, monkey’s tail and stephanotis sitting atop.

The happy couple were two high school sweethearts reunited after years apart. The setting was the Old Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco, California.
Designer and member florist, Paul Robertson, www.prfloraldesign.com, set the tone for this romantic and emotional pairing with jumbo rice-paper-wrapped lanterns and a red rose petal lined aisle for the procession.
Robertson’s simple and elegant gold candelabra centerpieces, bedecked with loose spheres of red roses and delicate tendrils of ivy trailing from below, were adorned at the base with gorgeous red rose petals.
The bride’s bouquet was a generous offering of gathered red peonies, while the bridesmaids carried complimenting bouquets of red tulips, with Black Beauty and Baccara roses of a traditional design.

A bridal bouquet can be fluffy and flowing, or chic and sharp, as done by our member Belle Fleur in New York, NY.
The winter issue of Brides Magazine features Belle Fleur bouquets that demonstrate their clean yet extravagant sensibility. A simple gathering of calla lilies and hosta leaves may compliment weddings with a tailored, neutral look.
Saharas and other buttery roses suit a palette of golds and champagnes, and a lush mass of creamy dahlias and peonies appeals to a feminine, whimsical aesthetic.

For a uniquely textural impact, Lady’s slipper orchids, sweet peas and fiddle head ferns are combined in a luxurious display.

Belle Fleur continues to design some of the most luscious and abundant bouquets that New York has to offer. Whatever your taste or vision for your special day may be, Belle Fleur will create something that is striking, defined, and uniquely you. www.bellefleurny.com

Katrina Parris’ work is featured in the Winter 2007 issue of New York Weddings. Their gorgeous and elegant all white bridal bouquet on the front cover uses roses and dendrobium orchids. The bridal bouquet on the inside cover uses several different varieties of roses in shades of white, including Sweetheart and California varieties . They were also asked to design an unusual fantasy winter wedding centerpiece; this one incorporates white Hawaiian dendrobium orchids with Schwartzwalder black calla-lily accent in a glass vase. It is the arrangement in the back of the bottom right photo.

Katrina Parris was also featured in the New York Weddings Fall 2005 issue. This article described various personalities of engaged couples and offered ideas of appropriate gifts according to their personal tastes. Katrina Parris recommended a stunning, dramatic arrangement for the Bon Vivants, aka the cultured and refined couple. In this arrangement, Katrina Parris enveloped King Protea & tall berried Viburnum foliages with fanciful tropical elephant-ear leaves.

Proprietor Judy Sieber from our member florist Emily Joubert in Woodside, CA, was featured in California Home & Design magazine- Design Sourcebook 2009. Judy talks about how her shop is a tribute to her grandmother Emily Joubert and how she found beauty in simple things. Judy has always loved to collect and sell from an early age.
In her 20’s after attending design school, Judy travelled the country selling shoes to department stores for Esprit de Corps and Ralph Lauren. Thereafter she moved to Southern Hungary with her husband, where she collected antiques and returned home with a 40-foot container full of goods.
Now based in Woodside CA, Judy owns her own home and garden shop named after her grandmother. Among her many goods she has to offer are her gorgeous flower arrangements. The large one featured below is a low & lush arrangement with lime green hydrangea, cymbidium orchids and artichokes. The smaller one contains white hydrangea, orange and jade roses.

In the December 2008 issue of the SAF Floral Management magazine, our member florist Foxgloves & Ivy Floral Design (www.foxgloves.biz), spoke about their green-certified new design space and richly detailed new logo.
“It’s instant impact,” says proprietor Larry Hammack, AIFD. “But it’s not in-your-face marketing because the logo is true artwork.”
We here, at bbrooks fine flowers, couldn’t agree more.

Our NYC-based member florist, Artfool, was featured in the Winter 2009 edition of Elegant Bride. Artfool’s Matthew Robbins created the arrangements for the wedding of Evelyn Vera and Joel McKoan, held in the Italian Renaissance-inspired gardens of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, NY. Robbins worked with the pair to incorporate the natural beauty of the site, choosing flowers in muted pinks, peaches and greens. The bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids consisted of peonies, orchids, hydrangeas and roses.

For the tented reception, centerpieces with these same, more colorful varieties plus sweet peas and ranunculus were used. A single orchid on each napkin and flowering garlands with ribbon wrapped around the poles of the tent finished Robbins’ design. www.artfool.com

Amy Gardella of Seaport Flowers was featured in a gorgeous layout in Martha Stewart Weddings Winter 2009 issue. Crisp green and white images of lady slipper and cymbidium orchids, snowball viburnum, bells of Ireland, asclepias pods and accents of panicum grass are an enticement to the eye.
The contrast between the fullness of the garden style arrangements and the clean simple lines of the place settings, white linens and chairs set the mood for a delightful brunch or light luncheon. “Here’s to the Ladies (and Gentlemen) Who Lunch.” www.seaportflowers.com
