Hanukkah (sometimes transliterated Chanukkah) starts on the 25th day of the Jewish month of Kislev, which coincides with late November-late December on the secular calendar. In Hebrew, “hanukkah” means “dedication.”

Lilla Bello founder Toby Kassoy, has introduced a community project that is very near and dear to her heart. As we all know, the power of receiving flowers can be absolutely immeasurable. The sentiment, the love from one person to another, the care that went into them and the presence is it gives in any room – All of that happens in the very fleeting 5-7 day lifespan of those blooms themselves. Petal It Forward , is a non-profit community project dedicated to re-purposing flowers leftover from a wedding or event, and donating them to local convalescent homes, bringing a little brightness and joy into the lives of unsuspecting recipients, letting them know they are loved and thought of…

Robert from BBrooks member, Colonial Village Flowers, NY, had great fun creating these Rose Towers designed atop authentic Stanley Cup trophies. Approximately 350 roses each! Table centerpieces were a fun combination of roses, celosia, and chili peppers! The event was held at Brooklyn Bowl.
