Bonding over their common interest in literature, Laura and Jason knew there was no better place to tie the knot than The Boston Public Library. Not only would they be surrounded by the most iconic love stories ever written, but the location of The Boston Public Library is close to the finish line of the Boston Marathon; a race both Jason and Laura participated in 2012 and 2013 respectively. In 2014 they ran the race together from start to finish to raise money for a friend whom was wounded in the tragic bombings in 2013.

Long time BBrooks member The Hidden Garden Floral Studio, Los Angeles, shows off a stunning display of Phalaenopsis stems and Lush Green Hydrangea in Flirty Fleurs’ Wedding Wednesday feature from September 3.

Juno, an 11-year-old beluga whale at Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Conn., perfectly timed this snapshot behind newlyweds Amanda and Patrick Leigh.

The happy couple, who are self-proclaimed animal lovers, didn’t plan the whale’s amazingly executed photobomb, but sure are glad he was in the right place at the right time to capture his smile on camera.

“That was just a lucky photo,” Amanda Leigh, 27, of West Haven, Conn., told GoodMorningAmerica.com. “We were down in front of the aquarium taking pictures. We paused to fix the dress and the whale happened to come over. My husband and I looked behind us and he was right there, like, ‘Hello.’”

“We never in a million years thought this would be anything,” she explained. “But we used it as our Christmas card and everyone loves it.”

Once you’re engaged, call Weinstock.  Your cake can be sent almost anywhere, from Ireland to Abu Dhabi.  But, it may need to travel with Weinstock or a “cake artist”.  So, you’ll have to consider the cost of travel and lodging for the artist.

The cake and its handler(s) will board a flight to the wedding destination.  For complicated travel arrangement, Weinstock turns to a trusted shipper.  For a wedding in Sardinia, the cake took a direct flight from New York to Rome, and then a truck to Naples, a boat to Sardinia, and a car to the wedding venue.  When it arrived, Weinstock was there to put it all together!

Sylvia Weinstock is opening her first retail location this spring, in Kuwait, and is working on a line of dishware.  You can’t have that cake on an unattractive plate!
